What's New in August
Tools 4 School
It's that time of year again! The Merivale Chiropractic & Massage Clinic is holding its annual Tools 4 School fundraiser to help the Nepean, Rideau and Osgoode Community Resource Centre (NROCRC) collect school supplies for children and youth in need. Join us as we hold our annual supply drive to support those families who need help providing their children with the proper tools to learn.
If you have extra school supplies or backpacks that you would like to donate, you can drop them off at our clinic (located inside Merivale Mall at 1642 Merivale Road) or directly at NROCRC (located at 1547 Merivale Road in the Emerald Plaza).
In the spirit of giving, new patients may donate a new backpack filled with the supplies listed below and receive a complimentary consultation, chiropractic exam, nervous system stress analysis (COREscore™), x-ray reading (if required) as well as a report of findings (value of $150). Alternatively, receive your initial exam for $50 and a donation will be made to Tools 4 School on your behalf.

Product of the Month: L-Theanine
L-Theanine is an amino acid found in tea leaves. When ingested, it helps to reduce restlessness and anxiety while promoting relaxation. It accomplishes this by boosting "brain-calming" chemicals like GABA, serotonin and dopamine while simultaneously inhibiting the stress hormone norepinephrine. L-Theanine also increases alpha brain waves, which are only present when we are both alert and relaxed.

Our next Dinner with the Doc seminar will be held on Tuesday, August 21st at 6:45pm at Broadway Bar and Grill.
